ShedShare Community Disclaimer & Liability Waiver Our Role ShedShare is a community marketplace platform that connects neighbours who want to share, rent, or borrow home improvement tools and equipment. We are NOT a party to any rental agreement between users. We do not own, inspect, control, or verify any tool listed on the platform, and we do not guarantee the condition, safety, or suitability of any item or the identity or conduct of any user. Assumption of Risk You acknowledge that using borrowed or rented tools and equipment — particularly power tools, construction equipment, and machinery — carries inherent risks including property damage, personal injury, and death. You voluntarily and freely assume all risks associated with borrowing, lending, picking up, transporting, and using any tool arranged through ShedShare. Release of Liability You agree that ShedShare, its owners, operators, and affiliates shall NOT be held responsible or liable for any damage, injury, loss, theft, dispute, or claim arising from any interaction, transaction, or use of tools arranged through this platform. This includes, without limitation, damage to property, personal injury, financial loss, or any other harm — whether to you, the other party, or any third party. User Responsibilities You are solely responsible for: • Inspecting tools before use and confirming they are safe and in working order • Using tools safely and in accordance with manufacturer instructions • Arranging your own insurance if desired • Communicating directly with the other party regarding pickup, return, and any issues • Resolving disputes directly with the other user No Warranties ShedShare is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be error-free, secure, or that any tool or user will meet your expectations. Indemnification You agree to indemnify and hold ShedShare harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform or your interactions with other users. Severability If any part of this disclaimer is found unenforceable, the remaining parts shall remain in full effect.
